Baloo's Character Profile

At the core of the Higher for Hire team is Baloo, a scruffy grey bear with a heart of gold. Gaining an interest in aircraft at an early age, Baloo has gone on to becoming possibly the best pilot in the world. Despite such a grand accolade, Baloo has remained down to earth and when he's not at the controls of the yellow amphibious cargo plane affectionately known as "The Sea Duck", Baloo enjoys nothing more than kicking back with a few friends and a drink at Louie's.

Built on a small island outside Cape Suzette, Louie's has become the club of choice for pilots on delivery runs in and out of the city. Baloo in particular has a special attachment to the place since the owner is one of his oldest and best friends. As a result, Baloo tends to spend far too much time at Louie's as his stomach will testify, having grown quite fat over the years from consuming too many Krakatoa Specials! If nothing else, stops at Louie's often cause Baloo to run late much to the dismay of his boss, Rebecca Cunningham.

Baloo and Rebecca don't always see eye to eye, partly because Baloo would much rather be his own boss. This was once the case when Baloo ran his own company, "Baloo's Air Service", but his jovial and carefree attitude didn't earn enough money and the bank foreclosed on his loan. It was Rebecca Cunningham who stepped in and bought the company, renaming it "Higher for Hire". Baloo lost the Sea Duck, but kept his job as pilot and although he has to endure Rebecca's crazy get rich quick schemes, you know deep down they're actually really good friends.
