Kit's Character Profile

Kit is a bright, intelligent twelve year-old with a keen interest in aviation and a view to one day becoming a pilot. Indeed, Kit's knowledge of aircraft is second to none and coupled with his superb navigational skills, he is the perfect person to partner alongside Baloo in the Sea Duck. Kit's positive, sensible yet carefree attitude also compliments Baloo's personality perfectly and the two have developed a special bond that you could be forgiven for thinking had formed over a lifetime. In truth, Baloo and Kit have only known each other for a relatively short amount of time, but in meeting, Kit was finally able to find a home, a family and start to become all the things that he wanted to be.

Kit can be considered a bona fide orphan. Although little is known about his past, he spent much of his life roaming from port to port before eventually joining the air pirates. Don Karnage immediately took Kit under his wing and although being a pirate did provide some security, he soon realised it wasn't the life that he wanted to lead. In running away, Kit was sure to take something of value to see him through, but with the pirates on his tail, it was Baloo that provided refuge and it was from that moment that they became the very best of friends.

As part of the Higher for Hire team, Kit now has all the elements of a real family. He gains comfort and security from Baloo and Rebecca and provides Molly with an amicable role model. Despite all the bad things life has thrown at Kit, he has come out on top, becoming the sort of person everyone would want to be friends with.
